Global Training Webinar on Sea-Based Marine Plastic Litter Regulatory Frameworks

After the success of the first GloLitter Global Webinar on the Development of Sea-Based Marine Plastic Litter National Policy and Legislation, GloLitter is delighted to have continued the series of Global Webinars to support the countries in developing and amending national legislation to reflect international policy and legal frameworks related to sea-based marine plastic litter in shipping and fisheries industry.

The GloLitter webinar on the Development of a National Regulatory Framework Dealing with SBMPL and its Inclusion in Existing National Waste Management Policies (Shipping and Fisheries) has been delivered with the support of International and National Legal Consultants with whom GloLitter has developed national regulatory guidance and the model legislation for inclusion of sea-based marine plastic litter into national waste management legislation, with specific references to shipping and fisheries. The training contibutes to the goal of continuing to build the capacity of stakeholders to implement this guidance and model legislation in their respective countries.
